RYM2612 ReFill

A free pack of sounds for the RYM2612

PCM2612 Retro Decimator Unit

Paris, January 28th, 2021

Inphonik announces the release of the RYM2612 ReFill, a free soundbank for Reason starring the RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer Rack Extension and co-developed with featured artist God of Rainbows.

Although the RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer excels in emulating the Sega Genesis' classic retro games tones, this free pack of sounds proves how great the original sound chip is as a complete and versatile FM synthesizer. The ReFill showcases a tremendous amount of sound-design craftmanship made possible by Reason’s well-known audio & CV routing flexibility. Packed with a generous array of instruments, this soundbank is the result of a long time collaboration with God of Rainbows, whose divine skills made him a winner of the ReasonTalk’s RYM2612 Song Challenge when the synth was first released as a Rack Extension in 2016.

The ReFill gathers 154 combinator patches categorized as bass, bells, brass & winds, drums & percs, FX, keys, leads, organs, pads, plucked, polys, and sequenced. It also features 7 demo songs written by God of Rainbows. The RYM2612 ReFill requires the RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer Rack Extension and Reason version 10 or above.

The owners of the RYM2612 VST/AU/AAX are not forgotten and can download a free pack of 180 patches to install manually.
